Office Technology
Program Description
As reliance on technology continues to expand into basic and specialized office skills, the role of the office professional has greatly evolved. Office automation and organizational restructuring have led secretaries and administrative assistants to assume responsibilities once reserved for managerial and professional staff. Many secretaries and administrative assistants now provide training and orientation for new staff, conduct research on the Internet and operate new office technologies. This program prepares students for employment in such fields as investment, insurance, banking, publishing, medical, media, and data processing. Bramson ORT College's Office Technology Department has an excellent placement record for its graduates. In addition, students have many opportunities for internships at the College or at local companies and professional offices.
