Credit by Bramson ORT College Examination
Matriculated students may earn credits in certain courses by passing comprehensive examinations for courses within their program of study. Students must have prior knowledge of the content of the course and have demonstrated capability proven by the examination. The examination process is rigorous, testing both the depth and extent of students knowledge.
Qualified students may obtain an application from the office of the Registrar. Students must apply through the department coordinators and have approval from the Registrar to sit for credit-by-examination. Students may not receive credit by examination in a course for which they have previously been registered at Bramson ORT College. Students are limited to the number of credits they can earn through this method.
Students are advised to discuss the content and format of the proficiency examination with the department coordinator. Upon passing with a minimum grade of C (70%), the student will receive course credit which appears on the transcript as ECR, and is not factored into the CGPA.
College Level Program Examination (CLEP) and College Proficiency Examination Program (CPEP)
Students may submit a request for CLEP or CPEP credit for courses within their program of study to the Office of the Dean of Academic Services. The Office of the Dean of Academic Services gives consideration to evidence of satisfactory performance on both the general examination and the subject examinations on College Level Examination Program tests and College Proficiency tests (minimum performance scores of 55 [CLEP] or 550 [CPEP]).
Students admitted to Bramson ORT College who have achieved scores of 4 or 5 on the College Board tests for Advanced Placement may be granted college credit for courses within their program of study by submitting their test scores to the Office of the Dean of Academic Services.
