Game Design and Programming Certificate
With the comprehensive Game Design and Programming certificate offered at Bramson ORT College students will master skills that will open doors to virtually any programming field. The Game Design and Programming track is designed to prepare certificate holders to work in the computer science field as a member of a game development team under the supervision of a game project coordinator. The program will prepare students in basic video game design and will cover the varied genres that are used in the industry. The courses offered at Bramson ORT College cover all aspects of game creation.
Students will learn how to create a game story line as well as create video games that are both interesting and challenging. Students will also be responsible for drafting the appropriate documentation to accompany their games, including game rules, instructional input, objects of game, and the goals of the game. Game programming will be taught with emphasis on proper game engineering as well as using C++, and other softwares, to build game engines. A game portfolio will be prepared by each student that exhibits his or her own creative work. This portfolio can supplement the student’s resume.
Credits obtained by students while in the Game Design and Programming Certificate program are transferable to two-year and four-year programs at Bramson ORT College and other colleges and universities worldwide. In order to earn the Game Design and Programming Certificate at Bramson ORT College, a student must complete at least 30 credits.
