Word Processing Certificate
The Word Processing Certificate at Bramson ORT College is a program that aims to develop a student’s proficiency in typing, and improve their knowledge of advanced computer applications. This program provides students with the basic keyboarding and data processing skills necessary to enter the job market as an information and word processor.
Emphasis in this program will be placed on the specific capabilities of word processing, office publication, and document formatting and editing. This program will also teach students to record, edit, store and revise correspondence, reports, statistical tables and other materials. Students will be required to take classes in accounting, advanced computer applications, keyboarding, word processing and secretarial practices. As well, students will learn in, and have access to state-of-the-art, modern laboratories equipped with the latest software.
Credits obtained by students while in the Word Processing Certificate program are transferable to two-year and four-year programs at Bramson ORT College and other colleges and universities worldwide. In order to earn the Word Processing Certificate at Bramson ORT College, a student must complete at least 30 credits.
