Knowledge of accounting, taxation and business law is important to the success of business and financial managers in today’s dynamic world of commerce. Bramson ORT’s Department of Accounting offers a wide range of courses and programs for students interested in acquiring the skills that will better enable them to serve the accounting needs of professional clients and the organizations that employ them.
Program Description
The Accounting program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare students for careers in the accounting profession. This program will allow students an opportunity learn and develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of accounting theories and practical application necessary for successful employment using both manual and computerized accounting systems. Our students can study for an Accounting Associate Degree (AAS), Bookkeeper Certificate or an Accounting Diploma. Students can also complete their GED program while studying for their Accounting degree.

Bramson ORT accounting graduates will find an interesting and rewarding career in the areas of banking, business, credit, industry, and local, state, and federal government. Bramson ORT College also provides many internship opportunities with companies in New York City where students receive practical knowledge of accounting procedures in a business setting.
