Job Description:
Bramson ORT College is seeking a real talented instructor with a passion for Game Development and Programming who can inspire, develop, teach, and give direction to capable groups of students as they work through their studies and prepare for their new careers with leading Game development companies.

While you need to be able to show that you can produce great work and exhibit the correct skills, being able to lead and instruct a group of talented and committed students on the tools used in the industry, enhancing their abilities and ensuring that they can develop strong production values are very important.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide students with the skills necessary to succeed in the Game Design and Programming field.
  • Be available to advise and implement Game Design and Programming Laboratory equipment.
  • Design, administer and teach Game Design and Programming Courses like C++ Programming, Visual Basic Programming, Java Programming, Introduction to Game Design, Introduction to Game Programming, Game Software Engineering and Game Engine Architecture
  • Design, administer and teach Game Design laboratory module.
  • Maintain a teaching assignment for each module.
  • Plan course instructions based upon an approved syllabus/outline provided to ensure course content and learning objectives are met
  • Distribute a copy of the module calendar to all students at first class meeting
  • Design, administer and grade examinations
  • Actively maintain student retention by keeping accurate daily attendance records, calling absent students,
  • recording absentee information in roster, and communicating any attendance concerns to the Program Chair
  • Be available to advise, tutor and provide other student with assistance as needed
  • Excellent motivational and facilitation skills
  • High standard of communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High degree of honesty and integrity
  • Effective time management skills

Skills Required:

  • At Least a MS Degree with 3+ years of teaching Game Design and Programming.
  • Commercial game programming experience
  • C++ Programming, Visual Basic Programming, Java Programming, OO Development, Algorithms for Games
  • Classical Mechanics / Physics for Games
  • 3D Mathematics for Games
  • Artificial Intelligence Programming for Games,
  • Graphics Programming DirectX/Direct3D preferred, or OpenGL
  • Game Engine Architecture
  • Ability to apply diverse teaching methods to students of various ages and learning styles
